The Rev. Jetstream on Location at Centralia

I’m a sucker for places that are abandoned. I don’t know why they hold such fascination for me (we’ve posted about them before), but they do. Now that I’m an old bastard and less adventurous than I used to be I would much prefer that I sit back and look at photos of such places rather than actually go out into them. (Yes, there was a time when the Widgeman, er, Widgeboy or Widgeteen I guess, didn’t mind sunlight–no, seriously)

Maybe I’ve gotten wiser in my old age. Or lazier. Or maybe I’ve just watched too many damn horror movies. Who can say?

Anyway, directly after posting our contest for the documentary about Centralia, Pennsyvania–The Town That Was–Rev. Josef Jetstream (aka @PhantomV48) let me know he had paid a visit there. He also shared his Flickr gallery (Part 1 and Part 2) of what they found when they went. I dunno, I think it’s pretty cool. Especially looking at it from here in my comfy chair.
