Your Weekend Justice #113: But What Color is the Bus?

It’s Weekend Justice: the Internet’s #1 audio trainwreck. It’s the podcast that wants to make sure the bus in question is moving above 50 miles an hour. Or else. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart. Or Sandra Bullock. This podcast was engineered–some might say over-engineered–by experts to escort you from the work week in the most chaotic manner possible. Please note: this podcast is profane, definitely oversexed and definitely overwrought. It is wrong and unsafe. You have been warned.

  • Listening to the episode right this moment, and wanted to write this before I forget it. So, in advance, sorry if you guys have already come up with this in the episode.

CONTAINS SPOILERS!!! Heads-up for anyone who isn’t up to speed with the new episodes of Doctor Who, or past seasons. But if you already listen to this podcast, then you don’t care.

You guys talk about River Song’s reaction to the Doctor’s response that they had never kissed before, and this is how *I* see it. Pardon the mess that follows.
    Time travel!
What we see is, basically, River’s life in reverse. The Library, the first time we(and the Doctor) meet River, is the final moments of her life. The River who kisses The Doctor in her cell is suddenly realizing she doesn’t have much longer to live herself(the kiss being his first, and her last). The old Doctor, who recruited them for this mission, probably recruited this River, who knows him, to spend time with her in *his* last moments. The old Doctor being the one who River met for the first time ever when she was younger. Them syncing their diaries in the beginning is the first time River doesn’t have any spoilers left for the Doctor; naturally making this his last ever meeting with her.

Sorry about the mess, Widge. If you’d rather keep this off the comments, I totally understand. This was for you guys anyway. :)

  • Sir Racer, I would love it if you were at D*C and all of us could sit together and talk DW ideas. :)
