32 Days of Halloween VI, Movie Night No. 22: Island of Terror

Aw, man, and all they wanted to do is cure cancer. But instead they’ve created an… Island of Terror! Hold onto your skeleton, friends, because the place is under siege by silicates that eat bone! (I hate it when that happens.) We picked this for Movie Night No. 22 of 32 Days of Halloween because it stars Peter Cushing as the scientist who must come in and try to stop the madness. And you need somebody like Cushing who say lines like “No bone? You certain?” with absolute authority.

Oddly enough, this isn’t available at all on a Region 1 DVD. Shame.

Last year at this time we were checking out The Vampire Lovers, and before that The Gorgon and The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires. Before we declared this Cushing Night it was Bucket of Blood and Satanic Rites of Dracula.
