Music Monday: Soil & “Pimp” Sessions

Soil and 'Pimp' Sessions

It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for horns. For example, there’s Pistol Valve from Japan. Although…huh. I realize I’ve never actually posted any Pistol Valve, so consider this a bonus bit. And it illustrates my point. So.

But anyway, it’s my love of horns (and Pistol Valve) that led our friend Daniel B. to point me to Soil & “Pimp” Sessions and their brand of “Death Jazz.” Showing here, with “AIE”:

And for a slightly less frenetic but yet ridiculously smooth example, here’s them playing “Summer Goddess.”

If you want to check out the band, since their stuff is mostly imports, trust me, you’re better off snagging them as MP3s from the Amazon MP3 store.

(And Pistol Valve is the same way.)

Do you have some new music we should know about? Ping us on Twitter at @needcoffeefeed. If we dig it, we’ll post it.
