Your favorite bookseller/toy store/electronics boutique/auction house/etc... is launching into yet another industry: groceries. Our friends at Amazon have launched a beta grocery store for bulk amounts of non-perishable items. The food is eligible for Super Saver Shipping and Amazon Prime shipping, and the prices (at least on the stuff that we buy on a regular basis) seem to be competitive. They also have a natural and organic section, so if you need a case of Annie's mac and cheese (as Thespia often does) and can't get to the store, they'll hook you up. When you consider that they have links to their partners who sell caskets, our very own Goliath corporation is truly becoming a cradle-to-grave endeavor.
