We’ve posted a lot of Vincent Price bits over the years…and not just during the three-plus years we’ve been doing 32 Days of Halloween. It gives me great joy when I discover even the smallest vid that we’ve not posted before–and this is a nice one. Price was a master of putting across a mood–he had the voice, he had the bearing, he had the whole nine yards. So I find it both amusing and helpful to see him fumbling a bit on his words. But just so you don’t get the wrong impression: the man could still get a point across. When he asks me if I know who I am, I seriously question myself regarding that subject. More than usual, anyway.
This bit is apparently from a 1984 Halloween special that Price was hosting, posted by the guy who operated the camera. Well done.

How we got here: last year we were watching some other funny bits from Mr. Price. The year before that, it was the mad trailer for The Raven. And prior to that, the trailer for The Abominable Dr. Phibes!
